BINOKL _

Rémi Larson, was born in Normandy, France in 1982.
He chooses BINOKL as his pseudonym after realising that most of the characters he creates wear glasses.

He draws his inspiration from the urban culture scene (basketball, skate and hip hop...) and the artists who influence his work (Basquiat, Mode2, Doze Green, Mist...) as well as through music.

He uses black Posca pens to trace his universe and then fills in the spaces with small and large repeated shapes. His precise and hypnotic style has evolved into a more spontaneous way through new tools and mediums : paper, canvas, wood sheets, glass, ...

He now creates in a workshop which allows him to freely express without constraint.

In search of harmony, between complexity and minimalism, he is drawn towards other more abstract binokleries.
